September? When did that happen?
This year has gone by so quickly! Can't believe that we're nearly at the end of September already. We've been busy with classes and the shop but we're about to get *super* busy! We have lots of things in the works and we can't wait to share, but for now it all has to stay under wraps ;)

Hello there!
It seems a long time since our last visit......there have been changes in the shop. Sheila who had been with us for 8 years has taken early retirement, giving her more time for stitching and more importantly( she may say) time to enjoy her little grand-daughter! Sylvia has joined us, if you have not met her yet, pop in and say hello.
However changes have not stemmed the flow of work being produced by our various classes, and lots more pictures when I get my act together...meanwhile..........
Mia and Carly have been fabric weaving.......haven't they made a lovely job of their cushions?
You won't find these in the high street!
Couldn't resist taking this picture.....Kirstie Allsop is the face of Janome UK.....think we have her younger lookalike!!!

Spring talk.....
Last night I spent a very enjoyable evening at Loans WRI......in July last year I was asked to give a talk on machine embroidery at their April meeting..... as the rural I belong to closes in March for the summer break I was a bit apprehensive in taking up the invitation. but as a rural member and know how difficult it is now to fill a syllabus for a season I relented.....I must admit it was a beautiful evening for carting around all my bits and pieces....a lot better than a wet, cold dark winter night! What a jolly bunch...good company.....and a lovely supper.....thankyou ladies.......must not forget the hall keeper who helped me with my machine and various containers! C

... personality shines
We call her our own 'Kirsty Allsop'..what do you think?
Carly chose some lovely brights and pastels for her cushion cover. This cushion class taught a little bit of patchwork, applique, fancy topstitching and also how to use the buttonhole foot and the button foot for the back opening.....
